Actors Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Junho are locked in a tight race for first place in the preliminary voting for the Male Actor Popularity Award at the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA 2025).
Voting for the AAA 2025 Popularity Awards began on September 24 through the mobile fandom app IDOLCHAMP, jointly operated by MBC PLUS and mobile advertising platform company TNK Factory.
As of 11:20 a.m. on September 25, Byeon Woo-seok led the Male Actor Popularity Award preliminary voting with 28.51%, while Lee Junho followed closely with 26.60%—a difference of just 1,492 votes.
Other top contenders include Cha Eun-woo in 3rd, Park Bo-gum in 4th, Kim Soo-hyun in 5th, Kim Yo-han in 6th, Lee Jun-hyuk in 7th, Kim Seon-ho in 8th, Park Jin-young in 9th, and Park Ji-hoon in 10th.
The 10th AAA 2025 Popularity Awards will be presented across six categories: Male Actor, Female Actor, Male Group Artist, Female Group Artist, Male Solo Artist, and Female Solo Artist. Unlike last year, which featured only four categories (Male/Female Actor and Male/Female Artist Popularity Awards), this year’s awards have expanded to six, adding separate categories for group and solo singers. Winners will be selected through fan voting. The preliminary voting runs from September 24 to October 13, with the final voting scheduled for October 16 to November 5. If a co-ed group is nominated in multiple categories, their results will be reflected individually in each category.
The voting system has also been updated. While the top 10 from the preliminary round will advance to the finals, the preliminary votes will also count for 30% of the final result, ensuring a highly competitive outcome. To encourage participation, IDOLCHAMP is hosting verification events offering prizes such as AAA 2025 tickets and points for voting.
The world’s No. 1 global awards ceremony, the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), will be held on December 6 at the Kaohsiung National Stadium to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Lee Junho and Jang Won-young will serve as MCs. The following day, December 7, a special performance festival, ACON 2025, will heat up the stadium, hosted by Lee Jun-young, (G)I-DLE’s Shuhua, CRAVITY’s Allen, and Kiki Xu. The 10th AAA 2025 is organized by Star News and hosted by the AAA Organizing Committee (Chairman Park Joon-chul), MOTIVE (CEO Cho Hyun-woo), and D-SOW.
