The “Queens of K-Hip” are back… YOUNG POSSE returns with an unrestrained “Freestyle.”
Girl group YOUNG POSSE (members Jung Sun Hye, Wi Yeon Jung, Jianna, Doeun, and Han Ji Eun) is ready to bite through even the pains of growth.
On August 14 at 6 p.m., YOUNG POSSE will release their fourth EP, Growing Pain pt.1 : FREE, through various music streaming platforms.
The title track FREESTYLE is a declaration from YOUNG POSSE that they will not yield to perspectives or standards imposed by others, but will instead create art as their hearts desire. Based on punk hip-hop, the song freely blends elements from jazz, metal, and hip-hop, breaking down genre boundaries. Its bold, straightforward lyrics ride on top of an unapologetic beat.
The accompanying music video features YOUNG POSSE in mixed-and-matched outfits within spaces of different moods. The five members exude free-spirited energy as they engage in raw, contradictory actions. With an ever-intense and confident “hip-crush” charm, YOUNG POSSE signals their evolution from the “daughters of K-Hip” to the “queens of K-Hip,” heightening anticipation.
The EP features a total of seven tracks, each showcasing the group’s distinctive artistry.
