“MZ Wannabe Icon” IVE (Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) has unveiled the choreography video for their new track “XOXZ.”
IVE recently posted a video titled “IVE ‘XOXZ’ DANCE PRACTICE” on their official YouTube channel. In the video, the six members showcased a hip and kitsch atmosphere with black and red-toned styling while displaying their diverse six-member visuals.
The choreography blends powerful movements with expressive facial performances, recreating the intensity of a live stage. In particular, the move where they form an “X” with their hands and stride forward highlighted their long limbs and dynamic dance lines, amplifying the energetic impact of “XOXZ.” During the bridge section, centered on Liz, the members linked arms and expanded into a wide formation, emphasizing the song’s dreamy, mystical atmosphere.
As attention continues to focus on IVE’s broader musical spectrum and conceptual performances with “XOXZ,” the choreography video gives fans a glimpse of the group’s passion and unique charm behind the scenes.
IVE released their fourth mini-album “IVE SECRET” and the title track “XOXZ” on September 1. The song introduces a new term coined by IVE meaning “I love you, good night, and see you in dreams”, featuring heavy 808 bass, brass, and strong drum sounds that create tension, paired with deep rap and minimalistic vocals that evoke a dreamlike charm. Lyrics were written by Jang Wonyoung and lyricist Seo Jieun, who previously collaborated on the title track “ATTITUDE,” enhancing the song’s quality.
Following its release, “XOXZ” topped the Melon HOT100 (within 30 days of release) and VIBE domestic trending charts, and also ranked highly on major Korean streaming charts such as Genie, Bugs, FLO, and YouTube Music, solidifying its presence.
IVE has been actively promoting “XOXZ” through music shows and various activities, including appearances on MBC’s “Hangout With Yoo?”, KBS2’s “Fun-Staurant”, and YouTube content such as “No Forgiveness,” “Limousine Service,” “Neighborhood Friend Kang Nami,” “Ex-Con,” “Workman,” and “Kyang Minkyung.” Their diverse charm continues to captivate the public across multiple platforms.
Meanwhile, IVE will continue promotions for “XOXZ” through various music shows and content activities.
