The Splendid Return of “Trustworthy Performers”… MONSTA X Wraps Up Their First Week of Full-Group Promotions in 5 Years
Boy group MONSTA X successfully completed the first week of promotions for their full-group comeback.
MONSTA X (Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M) appeared on Mnet’s M Countdown on the 4th, followed by KBS2’s Music Bank, MBC’s Show! Music Core, and SBS’s Inkigayo, where they showcased the stage for the title track “N the Front” from their new mini album “THE X.” Returning to music shows as a full group for the first time in about five years, MONSTA X proved their presence with explosive live vocals and performances at every stage. Despite relentless high-difficulty choreography and dynamic formations, the group displayed flawless teamwork, with the vocal and rap lines seamlessly switching roles to show off the solid musicality they’ve built over 10 years.
The point choreography also drew attention. The intuitive movement of raising their hands high to the lyric “Hands up” and a gesture mimicking wearing a wristwatch amplified MONSTA X’s signature masculinity and mature vibe, enhancing the immersion of the performance.
Their comeback interview segments also became a hot topic. With all six members having prior MC or DJ experience, they engaged in witty back-and-forth banter with music show hosts, adding liveliness to the broadcast and reaffirming their status as the “original variety idols.”
Released on the 1st, “N the Front” carries MONSTA X’s declaration of “facing forward without retreat.” With its heavy bass, powerful drums, and commanding vocals and rap, the track delivers overwhelming intensity. U.S. music magazine Rolling Stone praised it, saying, “It seems like a song that could appeal to various generations.”
Recently, MONSTA X has been actively promoting “N the Front” not only through music shows but also via a wide range of programs and digital content. Shownu continues to shine as a fixed MC on the web variety show “No Pogi,” while the group has appeared on Mnet’s “National Sparkling Tour,” web shows “Limousine Service” and “Bapsahyo.” Additionally, Jooheon has been confirmed as the sole MC for the upcoming web variety show “Good Errand Center – Simcheong,” set to premiere in October, raising expectations.
MONSTA X will continue their comeback promotions for “N the Front” through various music shows and diverse content.
