Girl group LE SSERAFIM is drawing widespread attention across the United States.
On the morning of the 11th (KST), LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) appeared on NBC’s flagship variety program America’s Got Talent, captivating both the live audience and viewers at home. Host Terry Crews introduced them as a “K-pop superstar” and “global headliner.” As the group took the stage with the lyrical melody of their mini 5th album title track HOT, released this March, the atmosphere in the venue quickly surged. They followed up with a performance of their mini 2nd album title track ANTIFRAGILE, keeping the audience on their feet.
Their stage presence, honed through their world tour, shone particularly bright. With powerful energy and sharp choreography befitting their reputation as the “ultimate girl group performers,” LE SSERAFIM drew standing ovations and mass sing-alongs from the crowd.
At the conclusion, they addressed not only the contestants but all dreamers:
“Regardless of the results, everything here is a part of you. What matters is the passion that brought you this far. May that passion last forever. We will all cheer for you.”
The sports world also took notice. Prior to their AGT appearance, Sakura and Hong Eunchae visited the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium on the 10th to watch a Major League Baseball game. The team’s official SNS posted videos of the two members exchanging gifts and autographs with players Kim Hye-sung and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, warmly welcoming them. As excitement for LE SSERAFIM continued, New York’s Empire State Building posted a photo from their previous visit, showing support. In 2024, the group lit up the building in their official team colors for the lighting ceremony, celebrating their mini 4th album CRAZY.
LE SSERAFIM will continue their North American tour in Inglewood on the 13th, San Francisco on the 15th, Seattle on the 18th, Las Vegas on the 21st, and Mexico City on the 24th. They sold out tickets for all six cities on their first North American tour, demonstrating immense popularity. The group is set to return in October with a new single, marking their first comeback in roughly seven months since their mini 5th album, produced by HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk.
