AM8IC Pre-Releases Performance of Track “Escher”… Showcasing Charisma Beyond Rookie Level
Rookie boy group AM8IC (pronounces as “Ambic”) has demonstrated a high level of performance even before their official debut.
Ahead of their debut with their first EP LUKOIE in November, AM8IC unveiled a performance video for the track “Escher” through their official social media on September 11.
In the released video, AM8IC displayed powerful choreography with precise control of pacing, creating overwhelming synergy. The meticulously planned stage movements and seamless transitions between members emphasized the group’s teamwork and heightened the overall density of the performance.
Dynamic gestures and intense gazes that matched the energetic camera work further amplified the impact. The choreography, paired with the heavy bass-driven EDM hip-hop sound, fully revealed their “beyond rookie” stage presence, firmly imprinting their image as a next-generation performance group.
AM8IC consists of five members: SAHO, MINGKAI, CHUNGYI, ROUX, and CHEN. Their group name combines “AMBI-,” meaning “both ways,” with “CONNECT,” symbolizing lost boys who find growth and salvation through genuine connections with each other.
Their debut EP LUKOIE also reflects the foundation of AM8IC’s universe. Inspired by Lukoie, the spider-shaped god of dreams, the story unfolds in a false dream world created by this entity. The narrative is divided into three chapters—“Connection Beyond Fate,” “Growth That Breaks Falsehood,” and “Salvation Through Hope”—delivering a grand storytelling experience reminiscent of a dark fantasy film.
Branded as the “5th Generation Dark Fantasy Idols,” AM8IC has already drawn attention by previewing a unique concept-driven identity that sets them apart in the K-pop scene. By combining original storytelling with striking visuals, they aim to boldly carve out their place in the industry.
Meanwhile, AM8IC is in the final stages of preparation for their debut in November.
