BTS’s V has claimed first place as the No.1 “male idol who makes you stan him,” proving once again his reputation as an “entry fairy.”
From September 8 to 14, V topped the poll for “male idol responsible for making fans stan” on the K-pop idol community Choeaedol. Unlike his chic appearance, V captured countless hearts early on with his playful and lively charm, leaving a strong impression. On stage, he mesmerized fans with a completely different aura—charismatic performances—earning the nickname “Ipdeok Fairy” (the fairy who makes people stan).
Before his debut, V was shrouded in mystery unlike the other members, earning him the title of “secret weapon.” Regarding this, BigHit explained, “BTS was complete but needed momentum. Since V had extraordinary charm in both looks and personality, we thought there would be great impact when he was revealed last.” His power to attract fans was already anticipated.
During BTS’s “Boy In Luv” promotions in 2014, when the group began drawing public attention, V stood out as a “fan-attracting idol,” displaying an irresistible magnetism. The buzz around his bright orange hair proved the attention he received, to the point where when BTS appeared on KBS FM’s Kiss the Radio, host Ryeowook commented, “When you search BTS on a portal site, orange hair comes up.”
V’s role as the “entry fairy” shines even more abroad. At the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, he was called “the man standing on the far left,” and during BTS’s appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2018, he became known as “the 1-second smile,” captivating viewers around the world.
