BTS’s Jungkook Achieves “Triple Million Seller” Status with GOLDEN — First Solo Album in Circle Chart History to Surpass 3 Million Sales
BTS member Jungkook has reached another remarkable milestone as his debut solo album GOLDEN surpassed 3 million cumulative sales, earning the title of a “Triple Million Seller.”
According to the Circle Album Chart (operated by the Korea Music Content Association, KMCA), Jungkook’s first solo album GOLDEN has officially exceeded 3 million copies in total sales. As confirmed by the World Music Awards (WMA) and global music media outlet Pop Core, GOLDEN is now recognized as the first solo album in Circle Album Chart history to achieve over 3 million in sales.
Released in November 2023, GOLDEN previously topped the Circle Chart’s “Top 15 Cumulative Physical Album Sales of 2023” with 2,702,453 copies sold, ranking No. 1 among all K-pop solo artists, male or female. This accomplishment — achieved in less than two months after release — once again demonstrated Jungkook’s immense influence and global popularity as a solo artist.
GOLDEN had already earned the Double Million (2M) certification from Circle Chart for surpassing 2 million in cumulative sales. Meanwhile, the Weverse-exclusive version, distributed as a QR code album (GOLDEN (Weverse)), sold over 250,000 copies, earning a Platinum certification.
Remarkably, GOLDEN sold over 2 million copies within just 5 hours of its release, making Jungkook an instant double million seller and setting the record for the highest first-day and first-week sales (Initial Chodong) among all K-pop soloists. Within two weeks, total sales reached 2,501,158 copies.
With GOLDEN alone, Jungkook has achieved an estimated 9.2 million album sales (EAS) globally — the highest-ever total for a K-pop solo artist, further solidifying his position as one of the most powerful figures in global pop music.
