ATBO’s Jung Seung-hwan: “It still doesn’t feel real that I’m enlisting… I’ll definitely come back”
Singer Jung Seung-hwan is set to enlist in the military.
On the 20th, Jung Seung-hwan shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram regarding his upcoming enlistment.
He wrote, “I’m sure many of you were surprised by the sudden news of my enlistment. To be honest, it’s a decision I made quite recently, so it still doesn’t feel real. But after giving it a lot of thought, I realized that completing my military service—one of life’s major responsibilities—sooner rather than later would allow me to return and continue my activities for a longer time with all of you.”
He continued, “Although I’ll be serving as a soldier for now, as I’ve always said, I have absolutely no intention of giving up on art. I’m not sure in what form or when I’ll return, but I’m holding on to the dream of standing in front of you all again.”
Jung added, “I’ve once again come to realize how precious and grateful the time I’ve spent has been. I’ll make sure to repay you with a better version of myself once I complete my military service.”
Jung Seung-hwan debuted as a member of ATBO in 2022 after gaining recognition through the audition program “THE ORIGIN – A, B, or What?”.
