EXO has returned with a high-quality trailer worthy of the group known as the “originators of K-pop universe storytelling.”
The trailer, released on EXO’s official YouTube channel on the 8th, depicts a cinematic narrative in which all members except Kai struggle to believe in their own superpowers and perceive reality as if it were a dream. Despite their confusion, an inexplicable pull eventually leads them back to the Tree of Life, where they gather once again.
At the end of the trailer, EXO unveiled the title of their 8th full-length album, ‘REVERXE’, further heightening anticipation. Based on their universe narrative—“On the day we truly become one, a new world opens”—the album title reinterprets the English word “Reverse” in EXO’s unique style to signify “a new world opens once again.”
Since their 2012 debut, EXO has pioneered a distinctive universe storyline, sparking the “lore boom” within K-pop. In September this year, they once again captivated global fans with imagery reminiscent of a total lunar eclipse. With their 8th full album ‘REVERXE’ slated for release in the first quarter of 2026, curiosity continues to rise.
Meanwhile, EXO will hold their fan meeting ‘EXO’verse’ on December 14 at 2 PM and 7 PM at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon. The event will feature performances of hit songs—including their winter classic “First Snow,” which is currently climbing back up the charts—as well as the first-ever live stage of a new track from their upcoming 8th album.
