Singer Hwasa has shared her thoughts after becoming the inaugural No. 1 artist on the newly launched Billboard Korea Hot 100 chart.
Hwasa topped the very first edition of the Billboard Korea Hot 100, newly created by Billboard headquarters and Billboard Korea, with her song “Good Goodbye.” Speaking to Billboard, she expressed her feelings about the achievement.
“It is an honor to take first place on the newly established Billboard Korea Hot 100 chart,” Hwasa said. “Anything that is ‘the first’ always feels meaningful. Thank you.”
Regarding the song’s growing popularity, she added, “I once said I hoped this song could comfort someone, and seeing that wish come true is what makes me happiest.”
Hwasa, who has sparked a chart-reversal phenomenon with “Good Goodbye,” has now ranked No. 1 on the Billboard Korea Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks. She also reached the top of the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart for the first time in her career. Additionally, after debuting at No. 43 on last week’s Billboard Global 200, she climbed 11 spots to No. 32, continuing her remarkable global momentum.
On the 49th-week Circle Chart (2025.11.30–2025.12.6), released on the 11th, Hwasa swept six categories—including Digital, Streaming, and BGM charts—with “Good Goodbye,” repeating her performance from the previous week.
Continuing her unstoppable run at No. 1, Hwasa has been actively showcasing distinctive musical concepts since signing with P Nation, led by PSY. She has released songs such as “I Love My Body,” “NA,” and “Good Goodbye,” further solidifying her presence in the industry.
