Boy band DAY6 delivered a special winter sentiment with their seasonal song “Lovin’ the Christmas.”
On December 15, DAY6 released their Christmas special single “Lovin’ the Christmas.” The song was co-written by Sungjin, Young K, and Wonpil, and tells a warm, heart-fluttering Christmas story. Drawing inspiration from 1960s and 1970s Motown sounds, the track conveys a vintage mood, while its sparkling melody and romantic lyrics amplify a soft, cozy atmosphere. Upon release, the song topped the Bugs real-time chart, entered the Melon Top 100, and ranked within the Top 10 of YouTube Korea’s Trending Music chart.
The music video, featuring DAY6’s official characters Petitmulz, presented charming and playful visuals that drew an enthusiastic response. Listeners shared heartfelt reactions, saying, “As I grew older, I lost that sense of excitement around Christmas, but this song comforted me by bringing back memories,” and “I remembered the excitement of waiting for Santa as a child, and I was able to feel it again—this feels like a precious Christmas gift.”
