NewJeans member Hanni will continue her activities with ADOR.

On the 29th, ADOR released an official statement, saying, “Following the final court ruling confirming the validity of the exclusive contracts, we have held numerous discussions with Minji, Hanni, Danielle, and the families of the three members.” The company added, “After sincere dialogue, Hanni decided to respect the court’s ruling and continue working with ADOR.” ADOR further stated that Minji is also in talks with the company and that discussions are ongoing. Regarding Danielle, ADOR said, “We have determined that it is difficult for Danielle to continue together as a NewJeans member and ADOR artist, and therefore, today we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract.”

In particular, ADOR stated, “We plan to hold legally accountable one family member of Danielle and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who bear significant responsibility for causing this dispute and for NewJeans’ departure and delayed return.” The company continued, “Through our discussions, we came to understand that the members had been exposed for a long period to distorted and biased information, which led to many misunderstandings about the company and ultimately escalated into a dispute. We agreed that, in order to regain the love of fans and the public, it is necessary— even if it takes time— to fully resolve these misunderstandings based on accurate facts.” ADOR also explained, “We have agreed to provide explanations at a later date regarding the various controversies that arose during the dispute, and we are currently discussing the timing and format.”

NewJeans had declared the termination of their contracts in November 2024, citing ADOR’s alleged failure to fulfill its obligations. After legal proceedings, in October, the court once again ruled in favor of ADOR in the lawsuit seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contracts. ADOR later announced that members Haerin and Hyein had expressed their intention to return last month.

Shortly afterward, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also conveyed their intention to return. Through law firm Hanil, the three stated, “After careful discussion, we decided to return to ADOR,” adding, “One member was currently in Antarctica, which caused a delay in communication, and as ADOR did not respond, we were compelled to release our position separately.” However, the three released their statements individually before consultations with ADOR were finalized. In response, ADOR took a cautious stance, stating, “We are in the process of confirming their true intentions,” and added that it was coordinating individual meetings.
