Global boy group BTS has fired the opening signal for its long-awaited full-group comeback in Seoul.

On the 5th, the central staircase of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, located near Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, was fully transformed with BTS imagery. The outdoor staircase was decorated using the logo, release date, and team name of BTS’s fifth full-length album, scheduled for release on March 20. The event drew particular attention given that the Sejong Center is regarded as one of Korea’s most symbolic cultural and artistic landmarks.

BigHit Music, BTS’s agency, explained the significance of the event, stating, “BTS began in Korea and has grown into a team that performs on a global stage. As they are making a full-group comeback after a long time, we chose to hold an offline promotion in the heart of Seoul, which represents their cultural roots.” The agency added, “We plan to expand outdoor advertising to major global cities such as New York, Tokyo, and London.”

A sculptural installation featuring the album’s logo has been placed at the top of the Sejong Center staircase, drawing significant public attention. The logo was first unveiled through handwritten letters BTS recently sent to ARMYs (the group’s official fandom) around the world. While the meaning behind the design remains undisclosed, fans are actively speculating and sharing interpretations as anticipation for the comeback builds.

BTS will release its fifth full-length album on March 20. This marks the group’s first full-member comeback in approximately three years and nine months. The album contains a total of 14 tracks and offers a dense portrayal of “who BTS is now,” reflecting the emotions and reflections accumulated throughout their journey. Following the album’s release, the seven members will embark on a large-scale world tour. Detailed information regarding the tour will be announced on the global superfan platform Weverse on the 14th.
