Singer Lim Young-woong once again proved his strength as a digital powerhouse by placing seven songs on the Billboard Korea Global K-Songs Top 100 and fifteen songs on the Billboard Korea Hot 100 for the fourth week of December.
Billboard Korea officially launched two new charts on December 3 in collaboration with Billboard’s U.S. headquarters to showcase the current state and global influence of K-music. The newly introduced charts—Billboard Korea Global K-Songs and Billboard Korea Hot 100—represent the first official attempt to comprehensively measure how K-music is consumed in both global and domestic markets. The charts have now released their third weekly results.
These charts are part of Billboard’s K-music initiative in the Korean market under Penske Media Corporation (PMC). They were jointly designed by Billboard’s U.S. headquarters and Billboard Korea, reflecting a balanced integration of global charting expertise and the unique characteristics of Korea’s music ecosystem.
The Billboard Korea Global K-Songs chart reflects the worldwide popularity of K-music, based on global streaming and purchase data, including Korea, and illustrates how K-music spreads across international markets.
The Billboard Korea Hot 100 is a domestically focused songs chart that tracks the most popular music in Korea, regardless of language, capturing what Korean listeners are currently enjoying the most. Lim Young-woong continued his strong showing by placing 15 songs on the Billboard Korea Hot 100 for a second consecutive week. His rankings include No. 3 “A Moment Like Eternity,” No. 11 “I’ll Be a Wildflower,” No. 12 “ULSSIGU,” No. 15 “A Melody for You,” No. 16 “Love Always Runs Away,” No. 18 “Our Blues,” No. 21 “Because It’s Raining,” No. 23 “I Understand, I’m Sorry,” No. 24 “After Sending a Reply,” No. 25 “Please Don’t Look Back,” No. 28 “Wonderful Life,” No. 29 “Goodbye to Us,” No. 30 “More Beautiful Than Heaven,” No. 32 “Will We Meet Again,” and No. 34 “I Am HERO.”
Lim Young-woong also placed seven songs on the Billboard Korea Global K-Songs Top 100.
