BTS member Jimin’s solo track “WHO” has been ranked as the best-selling song by a male K-pop artist in the United States in 2025.
According to reports from overseas media on January 5 (local time), “WHO” topped sales among songs released by male K-pop artists in the U.S. in 2025. The track was released in July 2024 as the title song of Jimin’s second solo album MUSE and has continued its impressive run of success despite Jimin being enlisted in the military.
“Organic Success Without Western Collaborations” — Fans Express Pride
Following the news, international fans shared enthusiastic reactions across social media, particularly emphasizing that the achievement was accomplished without collaborations with Western artists. One fan commented, “No industry push, no Western collaborations — he did it on his own. Oh, Kingmin.” Another wrote, “Jimerica (Jimin’s U.S. fandom), are you ready to see Jimin on stage again? Thank you for all your efforts. So proud of Jimin.”
Another fan praised the song, saying, “The greatest romantic song of all time. It’s been the best for two years and will continue to be the best.” Others highlighted the strength of Jimin’s U.S. fanbase, noting, “Let’s not forget ‘WHO’ was released in July 2024. That’s why Jimerica exists.”
“A Song for Every Moment” — Expected to Trend Across Platforms
Fans also predicted the song’s long-term relevance across platforms. One commented, “‘WHO’ is a song that never ages. It will eventually trend on various platforms. It fits every situation — single? Listen to ‘WHO.’ In a relationship? Listen to ‘WHO.’ Feeling down or sad? Listen to ‘WHO.’”
First K-pop Song to Spend 500 Days on Spotify U.S. Chart
With “WHO,” Jimin has set another milestone by becoming the first and only K-pop artist to keep a song on the Spotify U.S. chart for 500 days, as of December 28 last year.
In addition, “WHO” was listed on the 2025 U.S. Amazon Digital Song Best Sellers chart. Jimin recently recorded 15 entries on the U.S. Amazon Digital Song Best Sellers list. Last year, his singles topped the K-pop solo charts, and he became the BTS member with the most entries on year-end charts for two consecutive years. He is also the first and only K-pop solo artist to appear on the list multiple times across several years.
Since its release, “WHO” has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 consecutive weeks, marking the longest chart run among K-pop solo artists in 2024. The song has also remained on the Billboard Global 200 chart for 26 consecutive weeks, continuing its status as a global long-running hit.
