BTS member Jungkook has once again proven his status as a true “history maker,” setting a new record by becoming the fastest Asian artist in history to surpass 19 million followers on Spotify.

According to the official account of the World Music Awards (WMA), Jungkook has reached 19 million followers on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. The WMA emphasized that he achieved this milestone in the shortest period of time among all Asian artists, calling it a “historic record.”

Despite having released only one solo album, “GOLDEN,” Jungkook has left a powerful mark on the global music market, demonstrating his immense influence worldwide.

Jungkook’s Spotify profile has recorded more than 40 million monthly listeners, ranking No. 1 for the highest number of monthly listeners ever achieved by a K-pop solo artist. He is also the only Asian artist to hold both the most-streamed song on Spotify, “Seven,” and the most-streamed full-length album by an Asian artist, “GOLDEN.”

With his solo debut single “Seven,” Jungkook has been charting on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 129 consecutive weeks, the first and longest run ever achieved by an Asian solo artist.

His album “GOLDEN” has also entered Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart for 113 weeks, marking the longest and first charting record for an Asian solo artist in this category.

“Seven” became the first song by an Asian artist to surpass 2.72 billion streams on Spotify, while “GOLDEN” recorded 6.58 billion streams, the highest total for a full-length album by an Asian artist.

Including all credits, Jungkook’s personal Spotify account has surpassed 10.2 billion total streams, making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone. He continues to set new records for “first,” “fastest,” “most,” and “longest” on the platform.

Additionally, Jungkook achieved 1 billion streams in the shortest time for a K-pop solo artist with three songs: “Dreamers,” “Left and Right,” and “Stay Alive.” His track “Seven” recorded the highest weekly filtered streams for a male artist track globally on Spotify, with 89,748,171 streams in a single week.

Based on filtered streams, “Seven” also became the fastest song in Spotify history to reach both 100 million and 1 billion streams, setting a total of four world records, which were officially recognized by Guinness World Records in the United Kingdom.
