BOYNEXTDOOR is set to stay busy in Japan throughout 2026 with an expanded lineup of performances and broadcasts.
The group—SUNGHO, RIWOO, MYUNG JAEHYUN, TAESAN, LEEHAN, and WOONHAK—will appear at the with MUSIC LIVE special concert held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on January 11–12. They are the only K-pop act on the lineup and will perform on the second day. Following this, BOYNEXTDOOR will continue a series of local activities, including headlining the BEAT AX festival at the same venue on February 14–15 for two consecutive days. They are also scheduled to perform on the first day of TBS’s CDTV Live! Live! Spring Grand Festival 2026, taking place March 7–8.
The group is also expanding into Japanese variety programming. Starting April 11, they will host a new talk-variety show titled BOYNEXTDOOR Tomodachi Base on Nippon TV. This marks the first time the group has fronted a regular Japanese TV program under their own name, with the members serving as main hosts and welcoming a variety of weekly guests.
BOYNEXTDOOR officially debuted in Japan in July 2024 with their single AND,. Their first Japan tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR “KNOCK ON Vol.1” IN JAPAN, sold out all 13 shows across six cities, including encore performances. Their second Japanese single, BOYLIFE, released in August, topped two Oricon weekly charts (August 18–24) and earned a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in September 2025.
Their Korean releases, mini-albums No Genre and The Action, also received Gold certifications. Building on this momentum, BOYNEXTDOOR won the Rookie of the Year award at the 67th Japan Record Awards last November.
