EXO celebrated their comeback with fans at a showcase for their 8th full-length album REVERXE, held on January 19 at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul.
At the event, EXO unveiled the stage for their title track “Crown” for the first time, delivering a powerful performance highlighted by their signature SMP-style choreography. They also performed the emotional winter song “I’m Home,” which has been warmly received by fans. Alongside album introductions and behind-the-scenes stories, the members shared lighthearted talk about the album’s “reverse” concept, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere.
Opening the showcase with the words, “We’ve been waiting for this day,” the members explained that “Crown” was chosen after careful consideration, adding, “It’s a song that represents EXO itself. In the end, EXO-L is our crown.” They continued, “We’re proud and happy to be EXO. Now all that’s left is to enjoy this time with EXO-L, and we want to make great memories together,” moving fans with their heartfelt message.
Upon release, REVERXE topped QQ Music’s digital album sales chart in China, earned Double Platinum certification (over 2 million yuan in sales), ranked No.1 on overall and Korean music video charts, and swept positions No.1 through No.9 on Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart. The album also claimed No.1 on Kugou Music’s digital album sales chart.
Globally, REVERXE reached No.1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 35 regions worldwide and entered the Top 10 in 48 regions. In Japan, it ranked No.1 on RecoChoku’s daily album chart and topped AWA’s real-time trending chart. In Korea, it also took No.1 on Hanteo Chart’s daily album ranking, proving EXO’s continued global influence.
EXO will continue their comeback promotions this week, performing “Crown” on Mnet’s M Countdown on January 22, KBS2’s Music Bank on January 23, MBC’s Show! Music Core on January 24, and SBS’s Inkigayo on January 25.
