The opening shows of BTS’s world tour in Goyang have achieved a “perfect sell-out.”
BTS will launch “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN GOYANG” with three concerts on April 9, 11, and 12 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. During the fan club pre-sale held on the 22nd, all seats for all three dates sold out, underscoring the group’s unmatched ticket power.
Due to overwhelming demand, additional dates were confirmed for both Tampa and Stanford in the United States. Notably, BTS is only the second artist after Coldplay to hold a solo concert at Stanford Stadium.
After opening in Goyang, the “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’” will continue with shows at Tokyo Dome on April 17–18, followed by stops across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The tour will span 81 concerts across 34 cities, marking the largest number of shows ever for a K-pop tour.
Global attention surrounding BTS continues to grow. On the 19th, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum welcomed the group’s upcoming concerts, calling them “a historic moment.” BTS is set to perform in Mexico on May 7, 9, and 10 at Estadio GNP Seguros. Major international media outlets also highlighted the tour’s significance. Forbes described it as “setting a new benchmark in the touring history of Korean artists,” while USA Today reported that BTS is expected to make history once again through this tour.
Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, on March 20. The album features 14 tracks and explores universal themes such as identity, longing, and deep love. It promises to deliver sincere music that reflects BTS as they are today.
