• Actor Yoo Hae-jin's House Rally Announced Ahead of Film 'Assassin(s)' Release

As the film 'Assassin(s)' becomes embroiled in political controversy, actors are facing not only malicious comments but also direct face-to-face rallies being announced, with the controversy intensifying.

On the 1st, conservative group Shin Jayou Yeon-dae Kim Sang-jin (CEO) announced through his account a rally in front of Yoo Hae-jin's residence. Kim Sang-jin (CEO) is active as a representative of the conservative group Shin Jayou Yoo Yeon-dae-ui (CEO) and the Yoon Suk-yeol fanclub Yoon Ji-sa (People Protecting Yoon Suk-yeol).

Kim Sang-jin (CEO) announced through his account that he had completed the registration for holding a rally in front of Yoo Hae-jin's residence, and disclosed a photo of a building claimed to be Yoo Hae-jin's residence and part of an outdoor rally registration form.

In the registration form disclosed by Kim Sang-jin (CEO), it states 'Condemning Yoo Hae-jin, Condemning the Production Company of Assassin(s)', and it is written that 20 registered participants will hold a rally from the 3rd to the 30th.

Kim Sang-jin (CEO) posted, "Rally registration completed in front of Yoo Hae-jin's house in Seongbuk-dong, the lead actor of the film 'Assassin(s)'. If I hold a rally, it is expected that the agency will move Yoo Hae-jin's residence, and I will subsequently prove that 'Yoo Hae-jin ran away after running away from home'. Struggle."

While everyone has the freedom of assembly and protest, Kim Sang-jin (CEO) is personally attacking an actor who appeared in the film and exposing his residence on SNS. Beyond leaving malicious comments on videos of advertisements featuring Yoo Hae-jin and requesting the cancellation of advertising contracts, it appears to be causing harm to the actor himself.

The film 'Assassin(s)' has drawn focus to the shooting incident of First Lady Yuk Young-soo, which became the subject of the film, and is receiving heated responses from the political sphere. In response, the film production team issued a statement saying, "As a work based on historical events and real people, there can be various interpretations and criticisms. The production team respects such opinions. However, we would like to clarify that this is not a film made with specific political intentions beyond the work's unique creative intent and character."

Additionally, regarding the so-called 'Chinese capital inflow' claims related to 'Assassin(s)' that have been circulating through online communities and some media outlets recently, the production team stated, "There is absolutely no fact that Chinese capital was injected into the production and investment process of 'Assassin(s)'. 'Assassin(s)' is a work independently planned and produced with domestic capital under the leadership of domestic production teams and creators."

However, the controversy surrounding 'Assassin(s)' remains heated. In this context, the general public is curious about what the content could be to cause such controversy, and reactions are emerging calling for people to watch and evaluate the film directly. Posts on various communities and SNS continue to appear stating that people will directly check what the film is like.

Actor Lee Min-ho canceled the 'Actors House: Lee Min-ho' event scheduled to be held during the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) on the 7th as attacks on the actor continued.
