Lee Si-an (11), the youngest son of former national soccer representative Lee Dong-guk, has been selected as one of the final 12 players for the Youth Global Project.

On the 16th, the Youth Global Project jointly conducted by Funkism and the Ansan City Football Association announced the final selected players on their official SNS (social media) account. Lee Si-an made the final 12-person roster, earning the opportunity to gain experience in Brazil.

The project side said, "The eighth player to be announced is Lee Si-an from Yeonsu-gu," and added, "He is a player with excellent goal-scoring ability and good combination play. We look forward to seeing if he will succeed in Brazil as well."

This project was created with the aim of providing domestic youth players with the opportunity to gain experience in Brazil. Selected players can participate in various programs including local training.

Previously, Lee Si-an led the team to victory at the '2024 Chungju Apple Cup National Youth Soccer Festival' and recently passed the entrance test for the youth team of LA Galaxy, a prestigious Major League Soccer (MLS) club in the United States.

Meanwhile, Lee Dong-guk married Lee Su-jin in 2005 and has one son and four daughters. Lee Si-an appeared on KBS 2TV's 'Superman is Back' in the past and became known to the public under the nickname 'Dae-bak-i'.
