Actor Kang Jun-kyu has formed 'Migak Boys' with Park Ji-hoon.

Kang Jun-kyu delivered a standout performance in episodes 5 and 6 of the TVING original 'Becoming the Legend of the Army Cook' (screenplay by Choi Ryong, directed by Jo Nam-hyung), which aired on the 25th and 26th.

On that day, Kang Jun-kyu appeared as Private First Class Ju Sang-wook, a senior in the same company's living quarters as Kang Seong-jae (played by Park Ji-hoon).

Ju Sang-wook (played by Kang Jun-kyu) showed sparkling interest after learning that Jeong Min-a (played by Jeon So-young), an attractive KATUSA TV intern reporter, was Kang Seong-jae's female friend. In particular, when Jeong Min-a asked him to take good care of Seong-jae, Ju Sang-wook jokingly replied, "With the mindset of protecting the nation, I will watch over Seong-jae to ensure not a single scratch appears on his body." Meanwhile, Ju Sang-wook also displayed a warm senior's demeanor by collecting vacation funds with other personnel in the living quarters to give to Seong-jae, who was going on leave.

Subsequently, a critical mission was issued for the unit to participate in the KCTC (Korean Army Scientific Combat Training Group). During this time, Ju Sang-wook, who was on guard duty, made a fatal mistake by allowing an opposing army officer disguised as a civilian to enter, heightening the tension. To make matters worse, the morale of the hungry soldiers continued to decline.

To boost the soldiers' morale, Ju Sang-wook tasted 'Arancini rice balls' fried properly by Kang Seong-jae and transformed into 'Shin-mit Sang-wook,' a member of the group 'Migak Boys,' in a fantasy sequence. Ju Sang-wook expressed the sensation of eating the 'Arancini rice balls' in a music show setting with top-tier rap skills and performance.

As such, Kang Jun-kyu is fully playing the role of the show's backbone. Additionally, his handsome visuals that suit the military uniform have left a strong impression on viewers.
