Actress Jo Bo-ah (35) is set to return as an "obedient killer" after becoming a mother.

OTT platform TVING's new original series "The Obedient Killer" (Screenplay by Joo Hwa-mi / Directed by Lee Jung-heum) is a noir action drama about Go Dal-bun (played by Kim Da-mi), an obedient woman for whom being the perfect wife and mother was her only life plan. After her divorce, she takes on an unplanned job and discovers unexpected talent in the process. The project brings together PD Lee Jung-heum, known for "Goo Gyeong-i" and "Our Movie," and writer Joo Hwa-mi of "Hero: Masked Singer," with writer Kang Eun-kyung from "Gyeongseong Creature" participating as a creator.

Amid this, Jo Bo-ah's confirmed appearance has drawn attention. She married a non-celebrity in October 2024 and welcomed her first son in February of this year. Following the birth of her son, she chose "The Obedient Killer" as her comeback work for television, attracting particular interest.

In the drama, Jo Bo-ah plays "Codename Miss Lee," the ace and leader of the "Ugly Three Musketeers." Miss Lee is a character who pursues perfection, having sacrificed much to become the best while rigorously honing both her body and mind.

Additionally, Jo Bo-ah will share the screen with Kim Da-mi, Jo A-lam, Kim Jae-wook, and Nam Yoon-su. Kim Da-mi takes on the role of Go Dal-bun, known as "Codename Miss Go." Although being a perfect wife and mother is her only dream, Go Dal-bun is a character who enters the suspicious job market after becoming a divorced woman in order to bring back her young daughter. Jo A-lam plays "Codename Miss Gye," the mood-maker and troublemaker of the "Ugly Three Musketeers." Nicknamed the "Fighting Chicken," Miss Gye adds vitality to the drama with her unpredictable personality.

Kim Jae-wook lends his support through a special appearance. In the drama, Kim Jae-wook portrays "Codename Manager Cha," a taciturn gentleman who is always gentle but whose true intentions remain unknown. The character draws curiosity with the mystery hidden behind his soft demeanor. Kim Jae-wook is expected to depict Manager Cha's dual charm through his unique atmosphere and delicate acting. Finally, Nam Yoon-su appears as Jung Jung-won, a pure and enthusiastic rookie detective.

"The Obedient Killer" is scheduled for release in 2027.
