Kim Myeong-soo is set to transform into a psychological counselor.

On the 5th, the production team of the new drama 'Empathy Cell' (script by Jung Yeon, directed by Kim Chil-bong), which will be released simultaneously on Lifetime, LG U+tv Mobile, and Disney+, unveiled a still of Cha Eun-hwan, portrayed by Kim Myeong-soo.

'Empathy Cell' is a romantic comedy depicting the journey of a woman who denies empathy and a man who embraces it as they invade each other's worlds through a surreal event called 'emotional transfer,' relearning emotions along the way.

Kim Myeong-soo plays Cha Eun-hwan, a psychological counseling expert who gained immense popularity with his unique counseling style. Cha Eun-hwan, who can see through others' emotions, finds himself in a crisis due to an unexpected incident and, at the brink of despair, meets a woman, prompting him to look into his own emotions he had long forgotten.

The first released still captures Cha Eun-hwan's demeanor shifting between tenderness and seriousness. His neat cardigan and subtle smile instantly convey the moment of a 'stable-type counselor,' enhancing a sense of trust.

In another still, Kim Myeong-soo is seen gazing at someone with eyes full of tension. The usual relaxed appearance is nowhere to be found; his gaze, mixed with various emotions such as worry and fear, adds narrative depth to the Cha Eun-hwan character and stimulates imagination regarding the events that will unfold in 'Empathy Cell.'

Kim Myeong-soo is expected to naturally portray the transformation of a psychological counselor who carries others' emotions excessively, through his encounter with top star Yu Ji-an (played by Kang Min-ah), thereby amplifying the romantic atmosphere. As Cha Eun-hwan, who was stingy in caring for his own wounds while healing others' pain, meets the unexpected presence of Yu Ji-an, curiosity grows over what excitement and resonance he will convey.

Meanwhile, 'Empathy Cell' is scheduled to air in July.
