The mother of IVE member Liz speaks about her daughter’s appearance and talent.

In Episode 17 of the variety show “Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 4,” airing on MBN and Channel S at 5 p.m. on the 23rd, Jeon Hyun-moo, Gwak Tube (Gwak Jun-bin), and their “food buddies” IVE members Ga-eul and Liz embark on a special episode titled “A Flavor Dive into North Gyeonggi Province.”

On this day, Jeon Hyun-moo, who arrived in Goyang Special City, offers a hint: “This dish is a nostalgic food I ate at my high school graduation ceremony.” Liz immediately calls her mother, who is the same age as Jeon Hyun-moo, born in 1977, and they guess the menu together.

Liz’s mother says, “In our day, we ate jajangmyeon,” and Jeon Hyun-moo nods meaningfully before asking, “Since you’re on the phone anyway, please brag a little about your daughter.” The mother then mentions her paternal family, saying, “My daughter was a model student and beautiful since elementary school. Her grandfather and grandmother were handsome and beautiful people.”

Jeon Hyun-moo follows up with, “So who did she inherit her talent from?” Liz’s mother answers without a second of hesitation, “Her talent is just like mine,” eliciting laughter.

After the pleasant call, the four arrive at a restaurant in Ilsan that holds fond memories for local residents. Ha Ji-man (President) flatly refuses their request, saying, “We absolutely never do filming for broadcasts.” Upon hearing the reason for the refusal, Gwak Tube nods and says, “I understand.”

Briefly taken aback, Jeon Hyun-moo skillfully activates his “Plan B.” Fortunately, the owner of the second restaurant welcomes them warmly, saying, “You’re IVE, right? We know you very well.” The owner explains, “We originally ran a ‘galbi’ (grilled short ribs) restaurant in Sinchon until 1996 before expanding and relocating here. It was one of the ‘Top Three Galbi’ spots in front of Yonsei University.” Gwak Tube reacts by saying, “Hyun-moo hyung is a class of ’97 at (Yonsei University), so he unfortunately couldn’t have eaten there,” to which Jeon Hyun-moo also nods.

After settling into their seats at the restaurant, they are served LA Galbi and spicy gomtang (beef bone soup). During the meal, Jeon Hyun-moo asks Ga-eul and Liz, “What kind of short videos do you watch?” Ga-eul reveals her hobby, saying she mainly watches cooking vlogs. Liz adds, “Ga-eul unnie often shares recipes in our (IVE) group KakaoTalk chat.”

Jeon Hyun-moo also wonders about their futures, asking, “What do you think you’ll be doing when you’re in your 30s or 40s?” Liz answers, “I definitely think I’ll still be singing,” giving a response befitting a born singer. Gwak Tube cheers them on by saying, “When I’m in my 70s, I wonder if I’ll go to the ‘Kim Ji-won (Liz’s real name) Show’ as an audience member.” Jeon Hyun-moo fires back, “If I’m still alive then, I’ll go to the ‘Liz Show,’” making everyone burst into laughter. The episode airs at 9:10 p.m. on the 23rd.
