In the drama 'Liar,' Seo Hyun-jin's character expressed anger at a parent's protest.

In the first episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Liar,' which aired on the 30th, Kang Ji-seon was depicted being criticized by a colleague over a complaint from a parent.

On that day, elementary school teacher Kang Ji-seon held a self-introduction session with her students to mark the start of the new semester. In the process, she naturally called up Min Hyun-soo (played by Kang Ji-yong), who was at risk of being bullied by his classmates, and protected him.

However, afterward, a colleague asked Kang Ji-seon, "You didn't conduct class during reading and composition time, did you?"

Kang Ji-seon explained, "It's the beginning of the semester, so we did self-introductions. We conducted it in a game format," but the colleague relayed, "A parent complaint came in. They said why did you do that during class time."

In response, Kang Ji-seon countered, "Isn't speech important? Integrated education helps develop academic ability."

The colleague then pointed out, "Shouldn't you provide guidance on editing and correction so you can show something to the parents?" Kang Ji-seon pushed back, saying, "I don't teach class just to show off."

The colleague said, "I understand Teacher Kang's educational philosophy, but wouldn't it be easier to secure your next contract renewal if you receive good evaluations from parents?"

Ultimately, Kang Ji-seon answered with a smile, "Yes," but her expression hardened immediately after turning away.

Later, when meeting her friend Park Jung-hyun (played by Oh Dong-min), Kang Ji-seon erupted in anger, stating, "This is an infringement on teachers' rights. It is a serious issue that requires filing a formal complaint with the office of education."

Meanwhile, 'Liar' is a drama depicting two men and women who fiercely clash toward the truth while making diametrically opposite claims over a single memory.
