Comedian Lee Eun-ji shared what she learned from participating in 'Last of Humanity'.

On the afternoon of the 1st, a press conference for EBS's special anniversary program 'Last of Humanity' was held at the Glad Yeouido in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Attending the event were PD Lee Mi-sol, actor Yoo Seung-ho, comedian Lee Eun-ji, singer Bibi, neuroscientist Jang Dong-sun, and Professor Jang Hong-je of Kwangwoon University's Department of Chemistry.

On this day, Lee Eun-ji stated, "As a variety entertainer, I took on the challenge because I believe that the collaboration between educational and variety content itself is both a challenge and a good experience."

She continued, "Since the new perspectives of experts and non-experts were interesting, I think viewers will also enjoy it. I will remember all the processes of completing missions to survive in 'Biosphere 2'." She expressed her affection for the program.

She added, "Although it was not an environment where I could showcase my usual variety-style performances, we still filmed it very happily. I am glad to have encountered this program while comedian Lee Eun-ji continues her journey."

Supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, 'Last of Humanity' is the world's first 'science survival reality' set in the near future of 2038, when the Earth's system begins to collapse due to climate disasters. It features seven cast members who challenge themselves to survive in extreme environments using science.

The final seven selected are Yoo Seung-ho, Lee Eun-ji, Bibi, Jang Dong-sun, otolaryngologist and web novel author Lee Nak-jun (known as Hansan-i), Jang Hong-je, and NASA Earth scientist Kim Han-gyeol (Dr.) from the United States. The seven will cross the vast desert of Arizona, USA, enter a historic survival experiment base, and undertake missions to test the possibility of survival beyond Earth.

The program's stage is the actual closed ecosystem experimental facility 'Biosphere 2'. Built in 1991, it is the world's largest closed ecosystem experimental facility, where eight crew members once conducted a self-sufficient survival experiment for two years while completely cut off from the outside world. 'Last of Humanity' does not start its story as a simple science fiction fantasy, but rather as an extension of the climate crisis we are currently experiencing. The first broadcast will air on the 4th at 10:50 p.m.
