A heartwarming story involving BTS member Jin has been revealed.

The the 11th broadcast of KBS 2TV's "Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend" (hereinafter "Immortal"), episode 764, is specially themed as "Immortal Songs - Artist Kim Tae-won Edition" to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Revival, a living legend in South Korea's rock band scene.

On this day, WINNER's Kang Seung-yoon, Kim Shin's Band, Yukjoongwan Band, Lee Ye-ji, Lee Seung-hyup & Yoo Hae-seung (N.Flying), and Jo Jazz will all take the stage as powerful vocalists with premium rock spirits.

Notably, Kang Seung-yoon returns to "Immortal" for the first time in about three years after appearing on the show just before his military enlistment, bringing joy to viewers. Kang joked, "I won a ticket to the King of Kings competition before my enlistment, but the call-up notice came so quickly that I couldn't attend the competition. Doesn't that mean the ticket is still valid?" In response, Kim Jun-hyun exclaimed with surprise and laughter, "You've gained quite a bit of confidence since returning from the army."

Alongside this, Kang Seung-yoon shares an anecdote about his fellow soldier Jin from BTS, who served in the military around the same time. Kang reveals that when he was reporting to basic training, Jin was serving as a drill instructor. Although they were not close at the time, Jin reached out first upon hearing news of Kang's arrival.

Kang continued, "Jin suggested sweetly, 'Let's be drill instructors together. I'll share some insider tips on how to get selected.' I was thrilled and trained hard, but unfortunately, heaven didn't help me, and I ultimately failed to become a drill instructor." He expressed his regret over the missed opportunity.

Most importantly, Kang Seung-yoon shared a heartwarming story about "Drill Instructor Jin," which left viewers feeling warm. Kang said, "I graduated from training as the top cadet. Jin told me, 'Aren't you working too hard? Don't overexert yourself,' and handed me a box of chocolates while passing by. Since trainees couldn't use the PX at the time, I became a hero in the barracks." Shrugging his shoulders proudly, Kang received waves of envy from those around him for this legendary military tale.

Additionally, Kang Seung-yoon expressed his strong desire to participate in the "Revival 40th Anniversary Special" by singing one song as a guest vocalist on their new album. Having selected "Last Concert (Recollection III)," Kang is expected to dominate the stage with his profound interpretation of the song and explosive vocal power, earning high praise from Kim Tae-won. Attention now turns to whether Kang, who moved the original artist to tears, can claim victory upon his return to "Immortal." The episode will air on the 11th at 6 p.m.
