Group fromis_9 member Lee Chae-young addressed the cigarette controversy.

On the 23rd, a video titled "Vote for Your Daughter-in-Law: True Man Show" was released on the YouTube channel "When the Mouth Opens." Guests included fromis_9 members Na Kyung and Lee Chae-young.

On that day, Lee Yong-jin asked, "Is there anything you want to reveal through a lie detector test?"

In response, Lee Chae-young said, "I am a non-smoker," adding, "If you search my name, cigarettes come up. I was and remain a non-smoker. I have never smoked a cigarette even once."

She continued, "It's truly rumor-mongering. I posted a photo where an electronic cigarette appeared. It was far away from me. Since it was so pink, I didn't realize it was an e-cigarette. As a non-smoker," she added, "Many people didn't doubt me at all. They said they were disappointed if I didn't smoke."

She then revealed, "I received many calls from e-cigarette companies. They offered to sponsor me forever, for my entire life." At this, Lee Yong-jin joked, "It's funny that so many people think, 'Oh, you must be smoking.' Are you being portrayed as a confirmed smoker?" causing everyone to burst into laughter.

After the lie detector test confirmed she is a non-smoker, Lee Chae-young expressed her frustration: "Please remove related search terms. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. It felt even more unfair that many people didn't doubt me at all. They must have thought I looked like someone who would smoke."
