Actor Matt Damon spoke about filming 'The Odyssey'.

On the 12th episode of tvN's variety program 'You Quiz on the Block', Christopher Nolan, director of the film 'The Odyssey', and actor Matt Damon appeared as guests.

That day, when asked if it was difficult, Matt Damon replied, "No," adding, "I never once thought it would be hard. The director is an excellent leader. He is full of confidence and demands perfection from himself and everyone else. He assembles a team with the best in each field and requires top-tier skills, yet everyone wants to meet his expectations. That's why every work always turns out to be the best."

Yoo Jae-suk responded, "He truly seems incredible. I initially thought it would be tough if I were cast, but I feel proud to act within the director's world."

Next, they asked Matt Damon what he meant to Christopher Nolan, and Matt jokingly replied, "An excellent fourth-place candidate."

In response, Christopher Nolan said, "When asked if I found it difficult, Matt is an incredibly talented actor I trust and rely on. We view the process of making films from very similar perspectives. Given our life stages and career positions, being able to do this work now feels like a tremendous luck. We worked together with perfect chemistry. During this filming, I believe no one could have played Odysseus in place of Matt. He always led by example and constantly infused positive energy, telling everyone 'just do it.' He is the best partner."

Matt Damon replied, "It's truly great. Usually, we two don't say such things openly. We feel each other's sentiments without needing to speak, and the time we spend working together is always incredibly enjoyable."

When told that 'The Odyssey' was as difficult as filming seven movies, Matt Damon agreed, saying, "We discussed my role, and near the end of a meeting, (Christopher Nolan) firmly said, 'This film will be really hard.' I thought, 'Is it just one or two films?' but he insisted it would be truly difficult, and he perfectly kept that promise."

Christopher Nolan added, "I didn't realize it would be this difficult."
