Actress Kim Young-ok will appear as a guest on 'Playlist 109'.

According to StarNews' investigation on the 31st, Kim Young-ok recently participated as a guest in the recording of MBC's variety program 'Songs That Got Us Through Today - Playlist 109' (planning by Choi Haeng-ho, directed by Lee Min-ji, Heo Ja-yoon, and Kim Sung-nyeon, hereinafter referred to as 'Playlist 109').

'Playlist 109' is a nationwide project collecting 'support songs' — songs that helped people endure their most difficult moments in diverse lives — and compiling the life stories behind these songs into a playlist of 109 tracks.

MCs Lee Seok-hoon, Lee Jun, and DinDin meet various guests each episode, listen to their stories, sometimes respond with their own singing, and deliver comfort to viewers.

Previously, guests including Park Shin-yang, Cha In-pyo, Park So-dam, and Song Ga-in appeared on the show, sharing songs that helped them endure and offering 'supporting words' drawn from their experiences to those going through similar times, earning widespread resonance.

Kim Young-ok, the 89th-year-old active female actress, is set to reflect on her approximately 70-year acting career and share profound stories as the 'national grandmother.' She is also expected to convey the strength that has allowed her to remain active across numerous eras and life's twists, along with life truths and messages of comfort gained from her own journey. Additionally, interest centers on which song Kim Young-ok will choose as her 'support song' — the one that helped her endure her most difficult moments.

Particularly, attention is focused on the special reunion between Kim Young-ok and DinDin. The two are well known for their unique relationship and chemistry reminiscent of a grandmother and grandson. They first connected in 2016 on JTBC's variety program 'Hip-Hop Nation' and have maintained an exceptional bond since then. In this broadcast, their playful yet warm dynamic, resembling a real grandmother and 'real grandson,' is expected to deliver both laughter and warmth simultaneously.

Meanwhile, 'Playlist 109' consists of eight episodes, with only two remaining until its conclusion.
