Actor Hyun Bong-sik revealed that he cannot drink alcohol.

On the 19th, Hyun Bong-sik appeared as a guest on MBN's variety program "Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night."

That day, Kim Ju-ha asked, "I'm such a big fan. I really wanted to meet you in person. Seeing you face-to-face, you're tall and have a small face. Why do you often play supporting roles? Don't people say that to you often?" Hyun Bong-sik shyly replied, "This is the first time I've heard that," eliciting laughter.

Kim Ju-ha said, "You appeared in 15 works in 2024 alone and in 16 works in 2025," commenting on Hyun Bong-sik's busy schedule.

Hyun Bong-sik also revealed his close friendship with Jo Jjae-jeu. He stated, "When Jo Jjae-jeu was running a bar before her debut, Lown, who appeared in the same work as her, was a regular customer. Jo Jjae-jeu told Lown that I'm her fan and invited her to visit the bar for three months." Jo Jjae-jeu added, "It was cute."

Hyun Bong-sik said, "I don't drink alcohol, so I never go to bars," which surprised Moon Se-yoon, who remarked, "You look like someone who would be pickled in alcohol."

Later, Hyun Bong-sik explained the reason for visiting Jo Jjae-jeu's bar: "Actors have a 'Tonkatsu gathering.' There are several members, including Lown, Kim Ji-eun, Hong Bi-ra, and Lee Hyun-wook. We eat tonkatsu and have a cup of coffee. Most of us don't drink alcohol."
