Track and field national team member Bwesa Daniel Gasama showcased his identity as a native of Ansan.

The JTBC variety show "Please Refrigerate," broadcast on the 25th, was themed around the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The episode featured fencing legend Oh Sang-wook, who won gold medals in both the men's sabre individual and team events; judo gold medalist Heo Mi-mi in the women's -57kg category; and Bwesa Daniel Gasama, a key figure behind Korea's new national record in the men's 400m relay.

On this day, Bwesa Daniel displayed his eloquence, eliciting laughter when he said, "When I was invited to appear on the show, I wondered if I really had that kind of status."

Following this, when MC Kim Sung-ju asked about the meaning of his name, Daniel explained, "Bwesa means 'a person who does amazing things' in Tshingilo, and Daniel means 'lion.'"

He then revealed, "My parents are from Congo, but I have never even been near there. I was born in Ansan."

He added, "I am a native of Ansan. I attended elementary, middle, and high school all in Ansan."
