The Resort Division of Samsung C&T announced on the 5th that it received an Award of Distinction at the '2026 International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) Global Landscape Architecture (GLA) Awards' held in Hong Kong.
IFLA is a leading institutional investor in the global landscape field, established in 1948. This year, it introduced the 'GLA Awards,' an integrated ceremony where five continents compete, using climate change response and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as key evaluation metrics. Through blind evaluations by a panel of global expert judges, outstanding projects were selected across 19 categories.
The Green Space Solution Team of the Resort Division of Samsung C&T was honored with an award for submitting the 'Twin Bubbles' project from Phase 3 of Hoban Dangjin Su-cheong Summit in the Children and Youth category. The project received high praise for creating an environment where children can play in nature-friendly spaces while engaging in ecological learning.
The 'Twin Bubbles' project established a water circulation system that purifies rainwater within the complex and recycles it through features such as water screens and fountains. It is also characterized by gardens planted with trees that have excellent abilities to adsorb fine dust and absorb carbon dioxide. In particular, it applied a community model reflecting the needs of experts and children through collaboration with the local community in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do Province, which is a UNICEF 'Child-Friendly City.'
Meanwhile, based on know-how accumulated over more than 50 years, the Resort Division of Samsung C&T launched and is currently operating the specialized landscaping brand 'EVERSCAPE' since 2018.
