“Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia,” starring Kim Ji-won, and “Charge Me Up” both secured top spots in Netflix’s global TOP 10, demonstrating the strength of K-content.

According to the Netflix TOP 10 website on the 14th, “Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia” (hereinafter “Doctor X”) rose to No. 1 in the global TOP 10 non-English shows category.

“Doctor X” is a refreshing medical noir depicting the activities of Dr. X, Kye Soo-jung (played by Kim Ji-won), a “crazy genius in the operating room” who shatters massive injustices with her brilliant surgical skills that know no failure or compromise.

The series is also showing an impressive box-office momentum domestically. “Doctor X” broke through double-digit viewership rates immediately, recording a peak viewership of 12.9%, 11.4% nationwide, and 11.2% in the metropolitan area from its first broadcast. This record corresponds to the No. 1 first-episode viewership among mini-series aired in 2026.

The upward trend continued into the second episode. The peak viewership soared to 17.4%, with nationwide ratings of 14.9% and metropolitan area ratings of 14.7%. After capturing domestic audiences from its first broadcast, the series also claimed the No. 1 spot in Netflix’s global non-English shows category, signaling a green light for success both domestically and internationally.

“Charge Me Up,” starring Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soobin, has also joined the global hit list. “Charge Me Up,” a romantic comedy about a man whose artificial heart battery runs out and a woman with electrical abilities, recorded 3 million views (calculated by dividing total viewing time by the work’s total runtime) within three days of its release on the 9th.

Riding this momentum, “Charge Me Up” climbed to No. 3 in Netflix’s global TOP 10 non-English shows category. It also made the TOP 10 list in a total of 44 countries, including South Korea, Brazil, Singapore, India, Turkey, Chile, and the Philippines, proving its appeal to global audiences.
