Actress Bae Jong-ok has taken on her first horror thriller in her 42-year acting career.

Bae Jong-ok, who debuted as a KBS special-recruitment talent in 1985, has been loved for portraying diverse characters across various genres, from 'The Men of the Bathhouse', 'Liar', 'More Beautiful Than Flowers', and 'Their World' to the sitcom 'They Can't Stop Them'.

Bae Jong-ok, who also demonstrated a wide range of activities on screen in films such as 'Portrait of a Young Man', 'Walking to the Sky', 'Jealousy Is My Strength', 'The Most Beautiful Goodbye', and 'Innocence', has also revealed her unique presence.

Despite having gone through numerous genres and characters for over 40 years, there is still one genre Bae Jong-ok has not yet challenged: horror.

By choosing the film 'The Perfect House', Bae Jong-ok meets the public with a realistic horror thriller, the first of its kind in her acting career.

The film 'The Perfect House' is a realistic horror thriller about a college student, Gyu-bin (played by Jang Gyu-ri), who moves into a luxury apartment under extraordinary conditions and begins to encounter strange events while living with the elegant landlord, Geum-rim (played by Bae Jong-ok).

In the film, 'Geum-rim', the role played by Bae Jong-ok, is the owner of the 80th-pyeong apartment 'The Perfect House', possessing refined taste and dignity. She treats Gyu-bin, who has nowhere to go, warmly like family. However, as strange events begin to occur in what seemed like a perfect home, her affectionate face also begins to reveal a slightly different impression. Bae Jong-ok built up subtle tension within everyday kindness and politeness, completing 'Geum-rim' not as a simple horror movie character, but as a figure whose true intentions are difficult to guess.

Bae Jong-ok shared the reason for her first challenge in her acting career, stating, “I chose 'The Perfect House' because it cleverly captures the desires and hopes of the younger generation and unfolds them interestingly within the 'horror' genre. Although it is my first horror film, I felt a different charm from existing horror.”

Meanwhile, 'The Perfect House' will be released in theaters on November 25.
