Dayoung of the group WJSN has been selected as a female solo singer who will lead 2026.

Dayoung won the New Female Solo Singer category at the 2026 Korea First Brand Awards.

The "Korea First Brand Awards" is Korea's largest brand awards ceremony, which selects and announces brands that are expected to lead the next year based on consumer research. Every year, the brand that will lead the Republic of Korea is selected through public consumer voting and review by the judging committee.

Dayoung was selected as a new female solo artist who is expected to lead 2026 as a result of a domestic consumer survey conducted from November 3 to 16 last year, proving the explosive popularity of "Hot Girl."

In September last year, Dayoung ranked No. 1 in music broadcasting with the title song "Body" of her first solo digital single "Gonna Love Me, Right?" It has captured global fans' hearts with a healthy body line, stylish charm, solid live and performance.

"Body" has been listed on the 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2025 by NME, the 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2025 by Billboard, the 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2025: Staff Picks, and The 40 Best K-pop Songs of 2025 by The Hollywood Reporter. Teen Vogue magazine in the U.S. also recognized the "Body" music video as one of the "Best K-pop Music Videos of 2025" and realized its popularity again.

Meanwhile, Dayoung continues to perform brilliantly in various fields, including music, this year.
