Boy group BTS (BTS) once again topped the Billboard chart ahead of its full comeback.

According to the latest chart released by the U.S. music media Billboard on the 6th (January 10), "Run BTS," a track from BTS's anthology album "Proof," released in June 2022, topped the "World Digital Song Sales." By 6 a.m. on the 2nd, it had topped iTunes' Top Song in a total of 61 countries/regions, including Brazil, Finland, Mexico, and Greece, and also achieved results on major U.S. music charts.

This is the result of voluntary streaming by ARMY (fandom name) around the world. Fans expressed their expectations for the new song as they listened to the team's past songs. "Anpanman", a track from the third full-length album "LOVE YOURSELF 轉 "Tear", released in 2018, also topped "World Digital Song Sales" (December 20, 2025). RM's daily live broadcasting also led to a surprise re-entry of the song "Nuts" from his second solo album "Right Place, Wrong Person" to the second place on the same chart (December 27, 2025).

Members' solo songs are also steadily popular on Billboard's detailed charts. Jungkook's solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" ranked 148th and 90th on "Global 200" and "Global (excluding the U.S.)", respectively. "Don't Say You Love Me" (126th), the title song of Jin's second solo album "Echo," and "Who" (152th), Jimin's second solo album "MUSE," are listed on "Global (excluding the United States)." BTS's 'Proof' was ranked 9th on the 'World Album'. Jimin's second solo album "MUSE" ranked 18th on the same chart.

After the news of the release of the new BTS was reported, the ranking was also confirmed on Spotify, a global audio and sound source streaming platform. "Weekly Top Song Global" (counting period: December 26, 2025 to January 1, 2026) included "Who" (32nd), "Don't Say You Love Me (38th), "Seven (feat. Latto)" (62nd), and "Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)" (102nd), a duet between V and Park Hyo-shin. Compared to the previous week, the songs rose 48 steps, 36 steps, 54 steps and 80 steps, respectively. The ranking also continued to rise in the "Weekly Top Album Global," which was compiled during the same period. "Proof" rose 20 notches from the previous week to No. 35, Jungkook's first solo album "GOLDEN" rose 34 notches to No. 77, "MUSE" rose 51 notches to No. 117, and "Echo" rose 24 notches to No. 52.

BTS will release its fifth full-length album on March 20. It's been about three years and nine months since the full comeback. They set up a Shinbo logo sculpture on the central staircase of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul, attracting the attention of citizens who come and go.
