Singer Lim Young-woong topped Melon's cumulative streaming of 13.6 billion times. Melon, the nation's largest music platform, surpassed the record of cumulative streaming held by the group BTS (BTS).

Lim Young-woong's cumulative streaming recorded 13.6 billion times as of 9 a.m. on the 27th. This is the result of adding 100 million times in just 15 days after surpassing BTS's previous record of 13.5 billion times at 9 a.m. on March 11. It is attracting attention in the music industry as a case where a solo artist overtook a global group to become the number one in history.

Lim Young-woong proved his music power across generations with the success of his second full-length album "IM HERO 2." As a member of the "Dia Club," which is given to artists more than 10 billion times accumulated on Melon, it is currently reaching 13.6 billion times.

Immediately after breaking the record, Lim Young-woong said on his official fan cafe, "Hero Generation," "I still can't believe the number of 13.5 billion won." All of this was possible only because of the family of the hero era, he said. "It is a precious record because it contains your precious time."

Meanwhile, Lim Young-woong will hold a solo concert "IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2" at Goyang Stadium in September and meet with fans.
