IVE explained the reason behind their consistent efforts to explore change.

On the 6th, IVE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) held a showcase for their ninth mini-album 'We Made' at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

On this day, Soyeon addressed why the group continues to pursue musical changes despite being in their ninth year since debut: "As we prepared for this album, we made a concerted effort to try various things starting with 'Mono'. Being in our ninth year of debut, we also felt tired of ourselves and wanted to create something new and more enjoyable. Through many challenges, we first asked ourselves, 'What kind of story should we tell?'"

Soyeon continued, "We want to keep making music for a long time, and since we are friends who naturally enjoy fun things, we desire even more change and see it as our driving force."

Soyeon also defined what she considers "good music."

She said, "I pondered, 'What makes good music? Is it music that is popular, addictive, and trendy? Or is it music that tells our story, even if it feels dull? After various reflections, I realized that good music is something anyone can enjoy, where anyone can feel moved and have fun. The essence of music must be good.' This message naturally seeps into our music as we focus on the essence."

'We Made' will be released at 6 p.m. on the 6th through various online music platforms.
