IU will make her comeback as a singer on September 10.

Her agency, EDAM Entertainment, unexpectedly released a teaser video announcing the release of a new digital single via IU's official SNS channels at 0:00 on the 4th.

The released video captures attention with visuals reminiscent of retro PC screens. The screen features a symbol combining a crescent moon, an orbit, and a mysterious glowing sphere, along with the text "IU DIGITAL SINGLE." It also revealed the release date and time of the new song: "2026.09.10. 18:00 (KST)," further building anticipation.

The music inserted in this teaser video is identical to the one that briefly appeared in the video titled "Please Grant My Wish, Star Lady," which was released on IU's official YouTube channel at the end of August last month, drawing attention. Since the release of that video, various speculations about the background music have circulated online, along with reactions expressing anticipation for IU's new music.

This new song also carries significance as it marks IU's first release in a year since she unexpectedly dropped her digital single "Bye, Summer" on September 10 last year. IU, who surprised fans by announcing the new song without prior notice back then, is now expected to return with new music on the same date this year.

IU's new digital single will be released at 6 p.m. on September 10 via various online music platforms.
