'Choi Jin-hyeok of the musical 'Those Days' stated that his "shoulders feel heavy."

'A press conference for the musical 'Those Days' was held at the Ellyena Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 30th. Attendees included director Jang Yu-jeong, along with Ryu Soo-young, Choi Jin-hyeok, and Kim Jung-hyun, who play the role of Jeong Hak; Yoo Seon-ho, who plays Mu-young; and Sandeul, Yoon Si-yoon, and Park Kyu-won, who shared various stories.

'Those Days' brings to the stage a solid story that transcends past and present, set against the backdrop of the Cheong Wa Dae security office, and a unique sensibility crafted from the hit songs of the late Kim Kwang-seok.

'Jeong Hak,' the central axis connecting the past and present and a strict principled man, is portrayed by Eom Ki-jun, Ryu Soo-young, Choi Jin-hyeok, and Kim Jung-hyun.

'Choi Jin-hyeok recalled his 2024 performance in 'Bloody Love,' stating, "I usually film dramas, but musicals require live performances every time, so it is a genre that demands effort to manage one's condition. Since I have to sing as well as act, there was a lot to prepare for, and I feel I lacked a lot back then."

'He continued regarding 'Those Days,' saying, "It is very fun because breathing with other actors is important. The senior and junior actors I work with act vividly and work hard, which also stimulates me. The director, who uniquely writes the script and also directs, is so admirable. I felt that the guidance she gives during rehearsals will help me in my acting career."

'He added, "Rehearsal time is also enjoyable. Personally, I think there is no one in our country who is not a fan of senior Kim Kwang-seok. Although it is a jukebox musical made with his music, I believe it well captures the longing and the guilt of wanting to protect in its narrative."

'Additionally, Choi Jin-hyeok mentioned meeting the late Kim Kwang-seok's older brother, saying, "We talked over a glass of soju, and my shoulders felt heavy. I felt I was carrying a heavy burden to say I was doing this musical out of my own ambition. I am doing my best with the thought that I must fight for my life."
