Conor McGregor (37, Ireland)'s return match seems to be virtually definitive in the White House match. The remarks left by even citing the slogan of U.S. President Donald Trump are a hot topic.

British media "The Sun" reported on the 15th (Korea time) that "McGregor used President Trump's famous phrase to signal a shocking return to the UFC Octagon," adding, "It is highly likely that he will face Michael Chandler at the White House this summer."

McGregor recently posted a composite photo of himself on an electronic display board in Times Square, New York, on his personal social network service (SNS). "Making UFC GREAT AGAIN will be a great honor for me," McGregor wrote in the photo. It is a parody of President Trump's presidential slogan "MAGA (Make America Great Again)."

In particular, "The Sun" said, "McGregor broke numerous records by fighting legendary fighters such as Dustin Poirier, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Jose Aldo," hinting at the possibility of retirement, saying, "But this White House match is expected to be the last sprint before he takes off his gloves."

Chandler is the likely opponent for McGregor's return. Chandler and McGregor faced off as coaches on the reality program "TUF" in 2023, but the game was not completed due to McGregor's injury.

Chandler also appeared on a recent broadcast and said, "I can't confirm or deny it, but I think I'll have a hot showdown with McGregor at the White House this summer." McGregor's coach John Kavanagh also said: "We are 100% ready. "We are increasing the intensity of our training with the aim of returning to June," he said.

This MacGregor's MacGregor match is not just a show. President Trump's family has already solidified the partnership by investing a large amount of money in McGregor's side.

According to local reports, American Ventures, the Trump family's investment vehicle, invested $3 million in McGregor-owned MMA Inc, and the total investment is expected to reach $23 million (about 33.3 billion won). McGregor called Trump Jr. a "friend and business partner" and said, "This match is not UFC, but negotiating with the U.S. government on behalf of Ireland."

Even McGregor continues to make an unconventional move for this White House event. Already offered a rematch to "unbeaten boxer" Floyd Mayweather Jr. "Mayweather, are you ready to play the MMA game you promised?" McGregor said. "The White House is a great place. "If you fight with 100% MMA rules, not boxing, 10 seconds is enough," he said.

According to USA Today, President Trump and UFC CEO Dana White have announced plans to hold a UFC event on the South Lawn of the White House to mark the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. McGregor will be available after March 20, when disciplinary action related to drug testing ends.
