Zinedine Zidane (53), the symbol of "Art Soccer," has been selected as the next head coach of the French national soccer team.

ESPN, which specializes in U.S. sports, reported on the 24th (Korea time) that Zidane will succeed Didier Deschamps as the coach of the French national team, adding, "We have already reached an oral agreement with the French Football Association (FFF)."

The current head coach, Deschamps, has led the team for 14 years since taking office in 2012, making significant achievements such as winning the 2018 World Cup in Russia and runner-up at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

ESPN said, "Deschamps' retirement was an open secret from the French soccer community," adding, "Jidan, who left Real Madrid in 2021, has been mentioned as a strong replacement. After the 2026 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, Zidane will be officially appointed.

Zidane, who led the team to the 1998 World Cup in France, made an outstanding achievement as a leader as well. He is a legendary figure who has won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles in Real Madrid (Spain).

After a long wait, he took the helm of his country after a long wait. The media said, "There is only a detailed coordination of the size of the coach before signing the contract," suggesting that the appointment has actually entered the final stage.

According to the British 'mirror', Zidane has been receiving continuous love calls from English Premier League (EPL) clubs. In particular, Manchester United, where head coach Ruben Amorim recently left and Michael Carrick is the interim head coach, actively courted with enormous capital, but Zidane refused and only waited for the French national team head coach position.
