Lee Kang-in (25) made his debut for Atletico (AT) Madrid through a substitute appearance.

Lee Kang-in was excluded from the starting lineup for the 2026 Coupang Play Series match against Manchester City, scheduled to be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium at 8 p.m. on the 9th.

On this day, Lee Kang-in was included in the substitute list along with Thomas Lemar and Pablo Barrios, preparing for a substitution appearance either in the first or second half.

Lee Kang-in, whose transfer to AT Madrid was finalized on the 25th last year, has been conducting individual training in Korea without joining the team due to unresolved documentation related to his military service exemption.

After the AT Madrid squad arrived in the country, he only recently joined the team for the first time. With his match fitness still not fully restored and insufficient time to build chemistry with teammates, he will make his debut as a substitute rather than starting.

On this day, AT Madrid's lineup features Ademola Lookman and Carlos Martin up front; Morten Hjulmand, Odegaard Vargas, Koke, and Rodrigo Mendez in midfield; Robin Le Normand, Jorge Dominguez, Dani Martinez, and David Hancko in defense; and Jan Oblak guarding the goal.

In response, Manchester City will field Omar Marmoush, Phil Foden, Antoine Semenyo, Matheus Nunes, Savinho, Mateo Kovacic, Tjaziain Reijnders, Josko Gvardiol, Vitor Reis, Ruben Dias, and goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as starters.
