The South Korean Yeo Ja-bae-gu (CEO) team competing at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya (Japan) Asian Games decisively defeated Qatar and secured back-to-back victories in the group stage.

Led by head coach Cha Sang-hyun, South Korea overwhelmed Qatar 3-0 (25-6, 25-6, 25-10) in the second Group D match of the women's volleyball tournament at the Asian Games held on the 17th at Komaki Park Arena in Nagoya, Japan.

Displaying an overwhelming power gap by conceding only 22 points across all three sets, South Korea concluded their second group stage match with a victory in just 54 minutes.

Middle blocker Park Eun-jin led the team with 15 points, including five service aces and three blocks, while Jung Ho-young contributed 14 points with three service aces and three blocks each.

The decisive win also held greater significance as it allowed key player Kang So-hui to rest while maintaining optimal team management.

Following their 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 25-12) victory over Hong Kong in the first group stage match the previous day, South Korea completed both group stage matches with shutout wins.

South Korea will face Vietnam in their third group stage match on the afternoon of the 18th at 4 p.m. In this tournament featuring 14 teams, women's volleyball is divided into four groups of three to four teams each for the group stage, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals to determine the champion. The Cha Sang-hyun squad aims to win an Asian Games medal for the first time in eight years.
