The Ulsan Whales, who narrowly finished as runners-up in the championship series, have ended their brief rest and immediately begun preparing for the Education League.
To participate in the "Ulsan-KBO FALL LEAGUE (Education League)" opening on the 15th, the Ulsan Whales squad has gathered at their home ground, Ulsan Munsu Baseball Stadium, to begin full-scale training.
According to the Ulsan team, the players are focusing on checking their match sharpness while refining position-specific fundamentals and team play to boost their competitive condition. The team plans to use this Education League as a testing ground for planning next season's strength, aiming to intensively strengthen individual player skills and team competitiveness through matchups against various domestic and international teams.
The tournament, held from the 15th to the 31st at Munsu Baseball Stadium and Gijang Hyundai Dream Ballpark, will feature eight domestic teams, including the Ulsan Whales, LG Twins, Lotte Giants, Samsung Lions, KIA Tigers, NC Dinos, Goyang Heroes, and the Independent All-Stars.
Four overseas teams—Japan's Independent All-Stars, Long Beach (USA), Melbourne Aces (Australia), and Jiangsu Huzhou (China)—will join, bringing the total to 12 teams competing in fierce matches.
Captain Kim Soo-in said, "After the championship series, we reorganized our bodies and minds through sufficient rest. It is exciting to be gathered with the players again and start training." He added, "Through this Education League, we will show fans good games. We hope many of you will come to Munsu Stadium to cheer us on."
Meanwhile, all matches in this tournament will be free admission. The "Whales Store" inside Munsu Stadium, where the discount benefits for the brand Spider (a home final game victory promotion) are applied, will operate only for weekend games. Detailed match schedules can be checked through the team's official website and SNS.
