LG Twins starting pitcher Im Chan-gyu took the mound as the starter in Game 2 of the 2026 KBO League Wild Card Series between the KIA Tigers and the LG Twins, held on the 18th at Gwangju Kia Champions Field, despite being in mourning for his mother's death. However, he was removed from the game without completing even one inning. Autumn rain poured down starting from the bottom of the first inning, soaking the field. Im gave up five runs while facing only one batter in the first inning before being replaced. October 17, 2026.
