The KT Wiz, who won Game 1 of the Korea Series held the previous day (the 3rd), made slight adjustments to their starting lineup as they aim for a two-game winning streak.

KT will play the Samsung Lions in Game 2 of the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO Korea Series (best-of-seven) on the 4th at Suwon KT Wiz Park. In Game 1, held on the 3rd, they led 8-0 but allowed a comeback to secure a narrow 8-7 victory.

On this day, KT’s lineup is ordered as follows: Choi Won-jun (right fielder) – Kim Min-hyuk (left fielder) – Ahn Hyun-min (designated hitter) – Sam Hilliard (center fielder) – Kim Hyun-soo (first baseman) – Ryu Hyeon-in (second baseman) – Heo Kyung-min (third baseman) – Han Seung-taek (catcher) – Jang Jun-won (shortstop). The starting pitcher is submarine ace Ko Yeong-pyo.

The most notable aspects are the starting appearance of veteran Kim Hyun-soo and the sudden deployment of Ryu Hyeon-in. Kim Hyun-soo was substituted out for player protection after feeling pain in his left thumb during a slide while defending in the seventh inning of Game 1. Although there were no plans for separate hospital examinations, KT manager Lee Kang-cheol had expressed his intention to check on him after the game ended. After confirming his physical condition, Kim Hyun-soo has once again listed as the fifth batter and first baseman without change, solidly anchoring the middle of the lineup.

In addition, Ryu Hyeon-in makes a surprise starting appearance as the sixth batter in the second base position, replacing Kim Sang-su, who started Game 1. This is interpreted as a calculation to add the vitality of young blood Ryu Hyeon-in and have him serve as a link between the infield and the bottom of the lineup.

The middle of the lineup, led by table setters Choi Won-jun and Kim Min-hyuk, followed by Ahn Hyun-min, Hilliard, and Kim Hyun-soo, remains unchanged from Game 1 to maintain offensive firepower. Attention is now on whether KT, which has gained the upper hand by winning Game 1, can achieve a two-game sweep at home with slight changes to its lineup.
